Going Green
Going green doen't have to mean spending a whole lot of green.  Here are some great tips and information on what you can do to save energy and help the environment.
Compact fluorescents emit the same light as classic incandescents but use 75% or 80% less electricity.
EASY GREEN SOLUTIONS:
-change all the incandescent bulbs in your home to C.F.L.'s
-recycle all of your fluorescent bulbs and fixtures and your C.F.L.'s (Woolf Electric can tell you how)
-make sure to turn off lights when you leave a room
-try to use natural light from windows instead of electricity
-only run your air conditioner when you are home and set the thermometer to 76 degrees or higher
-unplug small appliances, cell phone chargers, etc. when not in use, they are "energy vampires"
-do your laundry during non-peak hours of the day, like early mornings and after 7 P.M.
-consider installing a whole-house fan or attic fan
-use timers for inside your home and photo-cells for outside lighting control
-consider solar panels
-consider installing solar tubes in your kitchen, hallways and other places in your home
